Feeling a bit tired - work was tough... put a bunch of time into a project only to deliver it to the client and have them tell me that they had already told our sales person not to worry about it! he, of course didn't let me know that so I put in about 2+hrs and then got to look stupid in front of the client.
awesome!
I guess I could review the tv show I'm watching... Poker After Dark on NBC.
watching on Tivo of course - we don't watch "live" tv anymore. This episode has phil laak, phil helmuth, jen harman, and antonio esfandiari.
Helmuth is an ass, we all know this - he's supremely convinced that he can do no wrong, every hand that beats him is a bad beat, impossible call, or an amateur move at best. Helmuth reminds me of a pre-pubescent 14 year old that thinks he's smarter than everyone around him - i hate those kids.
Laak is an interesting guy - he's semi entertaining for the first 30 minutes or so, after that it's just the same old parlor tricks - get up, talk about how he has no chance to win this hand, go sit on the couch, wait for the other player to fold.
Esfandiari will likely win this tournament, steady, thought out, seems to make the right poker decision every time... that type of play will eventually beat out every other player barring some unreal luck for another player.
Harman seems like she'd have a million tells - always doing that weird thing with her mouth... always looking up and down, hand on face hand off face. not the prettiest lady they've had on but seems to be the most sympathetic.
all in all I like this show - evidenced by the fact that I have 6 episodes on Tivo currently. You don't necessarily learn much from the way they play but the banter can be entertaining.
